The Covid-19 has made an impact on all our lives and we have all had to make changes in the way we go about our daily routine. As a business we have been using the time during lockdown to prepare our premises for changes that we knew would be coming so that we could offer our services with a minimum of risk to all our guests. We will continue to update our Risk Assessment in line with Welsh Government guidelines
We politely ask guests not to enter the building if they have any symptoms of Covid-19. We ask that guests contact us if they develop any symptoms 14 days prior to arrival or if they display symptoms while using the accommodation or within 14 days after leaving the premises.
Guests are required to pay 7 days prior to arrival either by bank transfer or by card over the phone to reduce contact. A receipt will be emailed to you with information about your stay.
Arrival & Check-in
We ask that guests give a specific arrival time to avoid contact with other guests. Hand sanitisers are located at the front door and we ask that guests use the sanitiser upon entering and leaving the premises. Social distancing signage will be displayed throughout the common areas of the building, we ask that guests follow these guidelines noting that Wales may differ from other areas of the UK.
Guests will be allocated a room prior to arrival, the key fob will be sanitised, bagged and placed on a side table clearly visible for their use alone. Details of how to use the fob will be emailed prior to arrival. All door handles and surfaces will be regularly sanitised throughout the day.
We have enhanced our cleaning procedures to include extensive cleaning of shared surfaces in these areas throughout the day using cleaning agents that include ingredients which meet BS/EN 1276 standards. We ask that guests bring a face covering with them, although we will have some available, to use in communal areas and that guests to adhere to current social distancing guidelines in these areas.
Daily servicing will only be available upon request, should you require this service, rooms will need to be vacant, windows left opened and personal items including toiletries stowed away. Linen changes for longer stays will still take place after consultation. We ask that bins and trays are left outside the room for changing if required to minimise contact. We ask that guests open windows when vacating the premises to ensure a good air flow.
We will take all necessary measures to deliver minimum contact, ensure hygiene standards and social distancing are maintained during breakfast. We ask that guests order their breakfast via our website to avoid the need for menus and state a breakfast time so that social distancing can be adhered to. Unfortunately, we are unable to display our cereals, juices etc and have reduced our menu slightly. We hope this does not distract from your enjoyment. Cutlery and napkins will be brought to you along with your breakfast.
Tables and chairs will be sanitised between sittings, and a full deep clean, disinfection and sanitisation will be carried out at the end of each daily service
A receipt of payment will have been emailed to you if requested, so we just ask that you leave your key fob in the box provided. Please sanitise your hand upon leaving the building. Unfortunately, we will be unable to bid you goodbye in our usual friendly way.
As many of our guests are walkers, we usually provide a transfer service to and from the Offa’s Dyke Path. Unfortunately, due to social distancing measures in place at present, we are unable to provide this service until further notice
We ask that guests sanitise their hands upon entering and leaving the building to reduce the risk of Covid 19 to everyone. We are a small family run Guest House and hope that the procedures put in place do not have an adverse effect on your stay.
